Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki discussed "threats posed by the Zionist regime"on Wednesday, according to Iranian news agency Fars, and Iranian Revolutionary Guard Commander Brig. Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari scoffed at US military power.

In a meeting with Syrian President Bashar Assad, Mottaki reportedly said, Iran, Syria and Lebanon are "constantly exchanging views about Israel's war threats, and...the Islamic Republic will offer any assistance to Lebanon and Syria."
The two reportedly discussed strategic ties between their countries in both security and economics.
Mottaki also announced on Wednesday that his country has not officially demanded discussions with the US

Jafari declared that the US is too weak to deter the Iranian nuclear
program, Press TV reported on Wednesday.
"They [Americans] know that they can't intimidate the Iranian nation
with military options to meet their illegal demands," Jafari was cited
