Consul-general in New York blasts applause after Ahmadinejad's speech

"The most striking thing was that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad got a round of applause after his awful speech," the consul-general in New York, Assi Shariv, said Wednesday morning, the day after the Iranian president's anti-Israel remarks at the UN General Assembly. Speaking to Army Radio, Shariv said that Israel was exerting great efforts in public diplomacy.
