The French Foreign Ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador Thursday expressing concern over Iran's detention of the 15 captured British sailors and marines currently being held in Iran. The ministry told reporters it had expressed its "solidarity" with Britain and urged Teheran to free the sailors and marines as quickly as possible. Iran's ambassador Ali Ahani was called to the ministry and was told of the "deep concern" among French officials about the arrest of the British crewmen, the ministry said in a statement.
