"If you (Israel) know where Ron Arad is being held, give us the address and we will find him," Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi was quoted as saying Friday. In an interview with Kuwaiti newspaper Mishkat Al-Ray, Mohammadi said Iran had no information concerning the captured IAF navigator. The Iranian interior minister also bemoaned the fact that his country had no information regarding the four Iranian diplomats who went missing in Lebanon in 1982. "You should know that we also have four Iranian diplomats who were kidnapped and we know nothing of their whereabouts. We hope that they will be found and will be returned to their families safely and peacefully." On Monday, Israel confirmed that Ron Arad's wife, Tami, received a letter written by her husband that was transferred to Israel as part of the recent swap deal with Hizbullah involving drowned Israel Gavriel Daweet. Arad reportedly recognized Ron's handwriting and the nickname he used to call her by. In the letter, which was likely written shortly after his capture in 1986, the IAF navigator describes his deep affection towards his wife Tami and their daughter Yuval. On October 17, the day after the prisoner exchange, Hizbullah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah referred to a document he claimed was given to Israel that showed where Arad had been searched for and said that no traces had been found of the captured navigator. In a televised address, the Hizbullah leader said he did not have anything to say that would shed light on Arad's fate and seemed to be indicting that any future prisoner exchange deal must exclude the air force navigator.
