Iran announces cannon that can intercept jets, helicopters and missiles

Iran on Tuesday announced that it had successfully completed development of a new 35mm cannon capable of intercepting fighter jets, helicopters and missiles, the FARS news agency reported.
Iran's armament with advanced weaponry does not pose a danger to other countries, especially not to her neighbors, Iranian Defense Minister Mustafa Muhammad Najar said at the inauguration ceremony for the new cannon's assembly line.
