With rumors continuing to circulate over the potential for an attack against Iran to halt the Islamic Republic's nuclear ambitions, a top military officer in Iran said on Tuesday that their air force would "destroy" any enemy aircraft which tries to penetrate their airspace. "If a step of any sort is taken against [Iranian sovereignty], the Iranian air force will respond in the quickest, and most decisive way possible, until all the attackers are completely destroyed," Ahmed Mikani, the commander of the Iranian air force told Iran's FARS news agency.
