The chief of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards on Friday warned that if the nation's enemies continued plotting against it, they would launch a tidal wave of resistance. Gen. Mohammed Ali Jafari spoke on the anniversary of the founding of the Basij paramilitary force and during a particularly tense period of relations between Iran and the West, largely due to the Islamic Republic's nuclear program. "The ocean of the Iranian nation may sometimes look calm but if it becomes stormy it will create tsunamis," he told worshippers before a Friday prayer ceremony on the Teheran University campus
