An enforcement unit of the National Infrastructures Ministry confiscated 1400 gas canisters, about 100 tons, from a warehouse south of Ashkelon on Wednesday. Acting on intelligence received, the unit entered the warehouse and discovered the canisters, which were believed to have been stolen. They suspect the owner, an Israeli Arab from up north, was also selling to Gaza. The ministry pointed out that the warehouse was a serious risk for an enormous explosion with that many canisters right next to a facility of the Eilat-Ashkelon pipeline.
