A 19-year-old youth was killed and his girlfriend lightly injured in a traffic accident that took place near the town of Fassuta in the Carmel region on Friday. An initial investigation revealed that the driver lost control of his car as he was maneuvering a curve in the road. The car fell 400 meters into a valley and the youth was mortally wounded as he was flung out of the vehicle onto the rocks. An army helicopter was called to take him to a hospital, but later he died of his wounds.
