Police detained three people on Monday morning on suspicion of the previous night's double murder in Jaljulya, northeast of Petah Tikva. Two people were killed and one person was moderately wounded in the drive-by shooting incident, which was thought to be the result of a dispute between two families. Reportedly, the two victims were due to be witnesses in a trial against a family member of the attackers. The relative of the suspects was himself set to be stand trial on suspicion of wounding one of the victim's family members in another shooting attack a year ago.
