Thirty illegal residents were apprehended Wednesday afternoon near Beit Kama in the Negev after Israel Nature and National Parks Protection Authority rangers caught them picking Akuvit Hagalgal (Gundelia tournefortii) - an edible plant with "protected" status.
All 30 were transferred to police custody.
