43 Palestinian infiltrators caught in 2006

In 2006, a total of 43 Palestinians originating from the Gaza Strip were caught by security forces attempting to infiltrate Israel through the Sinai Desert, the Shin Bet reported Monday. A security official said that the 43 suspects were involved in a wide range of terror activity, including planned suicide attacks, terror training, explosives manufacturing, and plotting to kidnap Israeli civilians and soldiers.
