The day after IDF troops and tanks entered the Gaza Strip, Palestinian terrorists continued their bombardment of southern Israel, firing some 41 rockets and mortar shells since Sunday morning. In the latest barrage, Palestinians fired four Kassam rockets at Sderot. Two of the rockets landed inside the town, causing extensive damage. Several people went into shock. Earlier, a rocket landed in an open area near Sderot, while the other fell near a school in the Sha'ar Hanegev region. None were wounded and no damage was reported in the attacks. Earlier in the afternoon, a mortar shell landed in the Eshkol region, lightly wounding two people. Palestinians also fired several rockets at Sderot, Ashkelon and Ashdod. One woman was lightly wounded as a rocket hit a warehouse in Ashdod, where the "Color Red" alert was not sounded. Another rocket fell in Sderot, and one rocket landed in Ashkelon. A number of buildings were damaged in the attacks, and several people were treated for shock. On Sunday morning, one woman was lightly wounded and four others were treated for shock when a Kassam rocket hit her home in Sderot. Two other people were wounded by shrapnel after a Kassam rocket landed near them in an open field in the Sha'ar Hanegev region. The rest of the rockets and mortar shells landed in open fields in various western Negev regions, causing no casualties or damage.
