Nine IDF sergeants at an artillery unit training base were discharged on Sunday after they humiliated a group of officers who came to the base for training. The soldiers disrespected the officers by holding an "initiation ceremony" and passing out a sheet with "behavior instructions," as well as engaging in other humiliating conduct. The base's commander, Col. Benny Mar, decided to dismiss the nine from their posts and transfer them instead to administrative positions on the base.
