Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas condemned the Kassam rocket attacks on Israel, Israel Radio reported on Friday.
In a meeting the previous night with Fatah senior officials, Abbas said that the Palestinian factions were "giving Israel and excuse to continue perpetrating its barbaric attacks."
Abbas stressed that before the establishment of a PA unity government three conditions needed to be fulfilled: An end to the Gilad Shalit saga, a renewal of calm within the PA and the release of Palestinian prisoners and Hamas parliamentarians.
