Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday called on Israel to show restraint following the Independence Day rocket and Mortar attacks in order to avoid a "deterioration" in the region.
Abbas called the attacks a "one time violation of the truce."
The PA chairman was speaking in Rome after meeting with Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi.
