Agriculture minister to request reopening Karni

Agriculture Minister Ze'ev Boim was expected to request on Tuesday that Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz act to allow the reopening of the Karni goods crossing between Israel and the Gaza Strip. According to American sources, over 500 tons of agricultural products were destroyed last week because of the continued closure, Israel Radio reported.
