The Al-Aksa Martyrs' Brigades claimed on Monday afternoon that it had kidnapped a border policeman in the West Bank. Brig. Gen. Yair Golan, commander of IDF in Judea and Samaria, said that he was unaware of the rumors but noted that in recent weeks, Palestinian terrorists have been using kidnapping claims as psychological warfare against Israel. Al-Aksa even published the name of the soldier it claimed to have captured but the IDF said that it was not familiar with the name.
