Labor Chairman Amir Peretz met with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday at the Alenby bridge near Jericho.
This represented the first meeting between Abbas and an Israeli official since Hamas took over the Palestinian Legislative Council in January.
