Ariel man jailed for carrying out indecent acts, trying to sodomize kids

The Tel Aviv District Court on Sunday sentenced a 52-year-old Ariel resident to five years in prison for carrying out indecent acts and trying to sodomize children over the last 10 years.
The man, Shalom Opochinski, confessed to the crimes in a plea bargain. According to the court, Opochinski would routinely entice kids around 10 years of age to come to his house after swapping playing cards with them and giving them presents.
Opochinski was also given a two-year suspended sentence and ordered to pay NIS 100,000 compensation.
