Ashkenazi to probe officers over leaks to press

IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi has summoned several army colonels for investigation on suspicion of speaking to reporters unauthorized during the Second Lebanon War, the IDF reported on Thursday night. Besides the senior officers, which included brigade commanders, several junior officers were also summoned for questioning by the commanding officers of the various districts. Ashkenazi recently received the findings of the military police investigation into intelligence that was leaked to the press, Army Radio reported.
