Banking hours nationwide will be officially extended starting Tuesday.
Banks will remain open until six-thirty p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until two p.m. on Friday.
The change in banks' business hours will allow customers to make deposits and withdrawals after three p.m. without the money's value changing, Israel Radio reported.
However, most bank branches are expected to maintain their accustomed service hours.
