Bar Ilan to confer lifetime achievement award upon Peres

Bar-Ilan University will confer a Lifetime Achievement Award upon President Shimon Peres at a gala ceremony marking 60 years of Israeli independence.
The Award will be presented on Tuesday evening on the Bar-Ilan University campus in Ramat Gan, in the framework of the University's 53rd annual Board oof Trustees meetings.
President Peres is being recognized for "his unique personal contribution to the Zionist enterprise, to the State of Israel and to the Jewish people; his
enduring commitment to ensuring Israel's resilience and security and to strengthening its international status; and for his impressive achievements as a leader, one whose breadth of vision and incomparable pragmatic skill have earned him the esteem of statesmen around the world," according to a statement from the university.
