Labor Chairman Ehud Barak has held talks in recent weeks with former Pensioners Party faction Chairman Moshe Sharoni, and discussed the option that Sharoni and two other pensioners party MKs would split off from their faction and join the Labor faction.
Sharoni said that he has held talks with at least three parties and is leaning towards Labor. He added that he would meet with Barak again next week.
Sharoni was ousted from the Pensioners Party in October due to his repeated violation of coalition discipline.
