Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Friday hinted at his disapproval of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's conduct toward law enforcement authorities.
"We have recently, yet again, been witness to an attack on the law enforcement authorities," said Barak at Labor's Tel Aviv headquarters. "I want to warn us all that the State Prosecution, police and the courts are vital institutions for any democracy and it is our uppermost responsibility to preserve their independence and freedom to carry out their work."
"I believe that we should all be careful in this regard," he added.
