Ehud Barak will give his first official appearance as a contender for the Labor Party
Primaries Monday, when he speaks to a United Kibbutz event in the north.
The former prime minister officially announced that he was joining the race last week, but has not yet set forth a platform.
A spokesman for the Labor Kibbutz Movement said that it was "significant" that Barak was kicking off the campaign at the kibbutzim, where he has traditionally enjoyed very strong support, and which symbolizes a return to Labor's key
