Hadash chairman Muhammad Barakei accused Rabbi Dov Lior of incitement on Tuesday following statements by the latter that Israel must be "cleansed" of Arabs in order to have peace.
Barakei demanded that Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz open an investigation against Lior, who made the comments at a gathering of settler rabbis on Monday evening.
"These are words of incitement and expressions of racism against Arab citizens in their homeland, and run counter to peace efforts," Barakei said.
