Beersheba police detectives prevented overnight Monday the murder of a suspected crime figure in the city, Israel Radio reported. After receiving a tip of an attempted hit, police positioned themselves around the target's house, and intervened when a man in his 40s arrived on the scene and opened fire. The shooter was arrested, as were two men who accompanied him. Police intend to ask the Beersheba Magistrate's Court to extend the remand of all three suspects.
