The assassination of a political leader is still a possibility today, according to Infrastructure Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer.
Speaking at a memorial ceremony for assassinated prime minister Yitzhak Rabin on Tuesday, Ben-Eliezer said "The writing is on the wall yet again, this time bigger. The next political assassination is just around the corner."
Commenting on violence by settlers in Judea and Samaria in recent weeks, the minister added, "Those who couldn't survive one day in the territories without the protection of the IDF dare to attack troops on duty."
