Ben-Gal: Ashkenazi said that all IDF officers were too politicized

"The chief of general staff, Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, said following his appointment to his current position that there was nobody in the army that he could speak to, because they're all politicians," Gen. Yanosh Ben-Gal (res.) said during his speech at a conference being held at the Latrun Tank Museum on Wednesday. "Senior officers in the general staff were afraid to voice their opinions during the Second War in Lebanon; [the general staff] instead turned into a monastery of silence," he added.
