Air traffic to and from Israel is scheduled to stop at 12:50 pm Friday, approximately four hours ahead of the start of Yom Kippur.
A total of 23,000 passengers on 133 flights - 62 outgoing and 71 incoming - will pass through Ben-Gurion International Airport by the time it shuts on Friday.
The airport will resume operation on Saturday evening.
