The deadly bird flu virus was identified in Kibbutz Ma'aleh Hahamisha in the hills surrounding Jerusalem on Tuesday.
The Agriculture Ministry was preparing for the culling of 30,000 poultry held in the kibbutz's coops, Army Radio reported.
