Border police arrested on Saturday afternoon a Fatah terrorist in Jericho who was planning to carry out a suicide attack in Israel. Bystanders pelted the police with bottles and rocks during the arrest, and one of the demonstrators was shot in the leg by security forces. He was evacuated to a local hospital. Security sources said that they had been passing information about the terrorist to Palestinian officials for the past few weeks, but that no action had been taken against him.
