Commander of IDF infantry Brig.-Gen. Yossi Bachar was appointed as the temproray commander of the Galilee Division (Division 91) instead of Brig.-Gen. Gal Hirsch who quit the army last week.
Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz had originally decided to appoint Brig.-Gen. Imad Fares but then changed his mind, Army Radio reported.
