In honor of Shavuot, the Central Bureau of Statistics published on Tuesday various statistics on dairy product consumption in Israel. In 2006, Israelis consumed 1.2 billion liters of milk, three percent less than in 2005. Israeli households spend an average of NIS 147 a month on dairy products. Cows in Israel produce an average of 11,200 liters of milk per year, more than cows in the US, the EU, or Australia.
