Secondary school teachers will continue their strike into the next week, beginning with a Sunday shutdown of grades 7-12 in all schools in the center of the country, it was reported on Saturday night.
The teachers announced the school strike after talks between the Secondary School Teachers Union and the Finance Ministry reached a dead end on the issue of teachers' salaries.
Sanctions will continue at schools throughout the country, with teachers refusing to participate in any activities beyond regular school hours.
