State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss stated Friday that he discovered 829 improper nominations of employees' relatives in the Israeli Airport Authority.
He reported in a conference at the Netanya Acadamic College that the number has increased by 110 nominations in the last four months despite his previous criticism, Israel Radio reported.
Lindenstrauss vowed that fighting corruption among public figures would be his highest priority as comptroller. He added the battle would be relentless and unbiased. In the coming years, he pledged, his reports will be conducted in real-time and will be proactive, "not just a historic analysis."
The comptroller promised that those who, by looking the other way, enabled wasting of millions of shekels from the State's budget will be held personally responsible; their names will be made public.
