Cop who exposed corrupt policemen' ring imprisoned on other offenses

Haim Moshe, a former intelligence officer in Acre Police was sentenced by Haifa District Court to 22 months in prison and three additional years on parole, Sunday. Moshe was convicted for conspiring with a delinquent in order to target the car of a man who had opened income tax execution procedures on his belongings, and also for planning to break into an elderly woman's house. After his arrest, Moshe exposed a ring of corrupt policemen who consorted with delinquents, and in exchange was released for house arrest. The ruling judge said that if it weren't for the plea bargain that allowed Moshe to be released for house arrest, his sentence would be much harsher. He added that he sentenced the wayward policeman to the maximum punishment allowed within the limits of the plea bargain.
