Corruption suspected in housing commissions

Police investigators from the national financial crimes unit have arrested in recent months several high ranking officials in the regional housing and planning commissions on suspicion of taking bribes. The suspects, among them engineers, inspectors and a head of one of the commissions, allegedly accepted bribes and favors in return for illegal land use permits, Army Radio reported Tuesday morning.
