The death toll on Israel's roads reached 10 in 24 hours on Thursday morning when a young man was killed as a car slammed into a wall in Beit Shemesh.
Two people were injured in the accident, one seriously and the other moderately, and were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.
On Wednesday evening, three people were killed and ten others were injured when a jeep collided with a van at Ein Harod junction in the North.
An MDA Gilboa team was called to the scene to treat the casualties and evacuate them to a hospital, but pronounced three of them dead. Two of the injured were listed in critical condition.
Earlier Wednesday, four people fell victim to a deadly traffic accident on Route 66 when a taxi collided with a car. The same road claimed the lives of two truck drivers on Tuesday.
Wednesday's accident, which occurred near Kibbutz Zoreah, also injured seven others, including one seriously. MDA paramedics treated the wounded at the scene before evacuating them to a nearby hospital.
Wednesday's early afternoon accident came after an equally tragic morning, which saw two people killed on Highway 60 and a number of others injured in road accidents elsewhere in the country.
The morning fatalities occurred when a truck crashed into a car, trapping its occupants. Firefighters struggled to free the casualties, but didn't manage to do so in time and both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Also on Wednesday morning, three people, including a 73-year-old man, were lightly injured when a garbage truck hit a car in Pisgat Ze'ev, in Jerusalem. According to reports, the accident was caused when one of the vehicles failed to stop at a red light.
