Defense Ministry: Israel to move part of West Bank barrier

Israel has agreed to move part of its West Bank separation barrier. A statement from the Defense Ministry said that in response to an appeal to Israel's Supreme Court, the barrier will be moved to restore access to land that belongs to Palestinians in the area of Kalkilya in the northern part of the territory.
Palestinians have mounted a series of Supreme Court challenges to the route of the barrier, forcing Israel to move it back.
The Defense Ministry's Monday statement came in reply to a query from the Associated Press.
