Defense Ministry Director General Maj.-Gen Gabi Ashkenazi made his first visit of his tenure to the Pentagon on Friday. According to a statement from the Defense Ministry, Ashkenazi met with officials from the US Defense, State, and Commerce Departments as well as senators and American military industry chiefs at the US's military headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. The Defense Ministry chief discussed with his counterparts "the central subjects on the two allies' mutual agendas," the statement read. The statement said the meeting was conducted in a "positive atmosphere of reciprocal cooperation."
