The defense echelon lost a quarter of a billion dollars in American aid funds, Channel 10 reported on Tuesday evening.
The loss, said the report, was a result of a lack of preparation for the intensive weakening of the US dollar over the last few days.
On Monday, the dollar plummeted below 4.00 NIS. - a seven-year high for the shekel.
