Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) chief Yuval Diskin told the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Tuesday that despite Muhammad Shabir's close ties with Hamas, there was no evidence he was involved in terrorist activity.
Shabir was nominated by Fatah and Hamas on Sunday to head the Palestinian unity government.
