Dozens of teachers ask Peres to intervene in high school crisis

As the high school teachers' strike entered its 17th day Sunday morning, dozens of teachers from TALI schools demonstrated outside Beit Hanassi in Jerusalem, asking President Shimon Peres to intervene in the education establishment crisis. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told the cabinet that he did not intend to acquiesce to the wage demands of the Secondary School Teachers Organization.
