The Education Ministry denounced an attack by a parent on a principal at a school in Netanya which occurred on Monday. During a meeting between a father and the principal of the Moreshet Zvulun School, the father apparently butted the teacher in the face and then when he was thrown out of the office, threw rocks at the principal. The principal was taken to Laniado Hospital and treated for minor wounds, and plans to file a complaint with the police. The father turned himself into police several hours after the incident. The Education Ministry noted that faculty who feel physically threatened find it hard to fulfill their educational duties. A supervisor would be looking into the issue and discussing further action with the principal and the teachers. The ministry also said it was currently in the process of determining how staff should deal with violent attacks.
