Egged will pay customer NIS 18,000 after bus fails to show up

The Egged bus company will pay NIS 18,000 in compensation to a traveler after a bus failed to arrive at the Kiryat Ye'arim station, Judge Avraham Tenenboim of the Jerusalem Small Claims Court decided Tuesday. According to Army Radio, the judge said that he would have awarded a larger sum were it possible to do so in his court, adding that in the future the government might also be implicated because it is the body charged with overseeing Egged.
