After several hours of strike during which the disputing sides were not communicating, Histadrut Labor Federation Chairman Ofer Eini was scheduled to meet with the Finance Ministry's wages director Eli Cohen. The two will meet in Jerusalem at 5 p.m., Israel Radio reported.
Earlier Wednesday the country's economy came to a near halt after the National Labor Court (NLC) rejected on Wednesday morning petitions filed against a general strike in the public sector declared the previous night by Eini.
