Elderly man suspected of murdering wife in joint-suicide attempt

An elderly Nahariya man was arrested by police on Sunday under the suspicion that he murdered his wife last week.
During a police investigation, Miklush Gal, aged 84, said that he and his wife swallowed pills in an attempt to end their lives. Once his wife, Katlin, had lost consciousness, Gal told investigators, he shot her in the mouth to ease her pain.
The couple was found by their sons on Wednesday. Their mother was already dead and their father was evacuated in serious condition. The two left a letter in which they wrote that they were committing suicide because of ongoing health problems and no longer wished to make the lives of their children difficult.
