Erekat condemns plans to build 750 housing units in Givat Ze'ev

Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat on Sunday harshly condemned Israel's plans to build 750 housing units west of the settlement of Givat Ze'ev, saying they undermined already troubled peace efforts.
"Why do they insist on doing this and humiliating [Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas] in front of the Palestinian public," he said.
Erekat said he had appealed to the US to pressure Israel to halt the projects.
